The WHL is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to the prevention and control of hypertension globally. WHL membership is currently comprised of 80 national hypertension societies who are members of our Council and led by the WHL Executive, Board, Council, and Committees. The WHL is a global organization with regional offices in North and South America, China, South East Asia, Sub Saharan Africa, the South Pacific, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. The WHL is in official relations with the International Society of Hypertension (ISH) and the World Health Organization (WHO). The official journal of the WHL is The Journal of Human Hypertension (JHH).

On behalf of my colleagues in the World Hypertension League, I welcome you to join us for the 6th World Hypertension Congress, which will be held in Chennai, India from March 7,8 & 9, 2025. This is the first time we will be holding the World Hypertension Congress in India, and we are excited to do so in collaboration with our colleagues in the Indian Society of Hypertension. The program will be exceptional, with presentations by many of the world’s leading authorities on the prevention and control of high blood pressure. In addition to cutting-edge clinical and population science presentations, it will feature keynote addresses by world leaders, “how to” sessions, a scientific writing workshop, poster sessions, and much more. It’s a meeting not to miss and I look forward to sharing the excitement with you in Chennai.
I feel really honored and privileged to be the Chair for the ensuing 6 th World Hypertension Congress 2025, conducted by World Hypertension League in collaboration with Indian Society of Hypertension. This congress is the first of its kind in the field of Hypertension conducted in India and that too in the city of Chennai. The venue is the Chennai Trade Centre, and the Congress will be for 3 days from 7,8 & 9th March 2025. Though India had witnessed many conferences in other specialities, this World Hypertension Congress will pave the best opportunity for Health care providers to learn more about Prevention and Control of Hypertension from renowned International Speakers. Since the prevalence of Hypertension is on the rise in our Country with increase in morbidity and mortality, it is most important to participate and acquire knowledge to get implemented in clinical practice from the best of the best. We will be witnessing a excellent scientific program which will cover the problems encountered in various nations across the globe including India.
